Poison Ivy Makeup
When Jackie asked me if I could do her makeup for this I was ecstatic. Poison Ivy Makeup!? Yes please! This kind of stuff is so much fun.
I thought progressive photos might make it easier to see how to do it.
Let’s talk about her eye color…. way pretty, right!? So, I’ll list what I used but you may be able to get a similar look using products you already have.
Apply your foundation and contour color. ↑ I used the foundation from the makeup design school I went to here along with a little bit of airbrush foundation here. Don’t feel like you have to rush out to get an airbrush (even though they can be great,) normal foundation will work just as well, I just didn’t have the exact colors I needed so I went with airbrush.
Add concealer, bronzer (Natural,) blush (Peach Mosaic,) lip liner (UD in Bang,) and gloss (Chanel in Constellation.) Here’s a side view ↓
Make sure bronzer, blush, and contours all blend together nicely. My favorite blending tool is the beauty blender.
Then add eyeshadow (Naked Basics and MAC Bronze.) ↑
Then add some false lashes. You can’t go wrong with Ardell Wispies.
Now for the ivy part of this all…..get some leaves like these here and spray them with some glitter and allow them to dry.
Apply lash glue to the back of the leaves and allow it to dry for about 45 seconds before applying to the skin.
Layer the leaves on the skin adhering each one with lash glue and allowing it to fully dry. Apply green eyeshadow between the leaves to create extra detail. I used the green colors from the UD Electric Palette.
Add some rhinestones ↑ (similar here) to the center using lash glue. And you’re done!
Now go do something fun!

Roxy Model Makeup Look
I love this look, it reminds of a Roxy model’s makeup. I was getting Zoe glammed up for a photoshoot with Ty French and just had to pause when I wasn’t totally done with her makeup to take a pic cause I loved this natural look so much.
Here’s what I used:
Complexion: Temptu s/b foundation (non-airbrush foundation recommendation Teint Miracle,) Laura Mercier Concealer #3, TheBalm bronzer, MAC blush in Fleur Power
Eyes:Urban Decay eyeshadow base, MAC eyeshadows in Rice Paper, Amber Lights and Embark, Tarte Inner Rim liner, L’Oreal Voluminous mascara, Benefit Gimme Brow in Light/Medium
Lips: Bite Agave Lip Mask
Isn’t she so cute?! OH! And I linked to Target for the L’Oreal mascara, it has free shipping on all products and it was the cheapest!
Makenna Makeup
The first time I did makeup on Makenna Alyse it was for one of her performances (she’s a dancer for the Utah Jazz) and we couldn’t stop talking the entire time. I’ve been lucky to work with her several times since and felt honored that I got her ready for her engagement photos, bridals, and wedding day. She’s a beauty and I think her and Aaron are perfect together!
Here are the details on her look:
Complexion: Temptu s/b foundation (non-airbrush foundation recommendation Teint Miracle,) Cle de Peau concealer in Beige, TheBalm bronzer, Tarte Blush in Blushing Bride,
Eyes: Urban Decay eyeshadow base, MAC eyeshadow in Saddle, Bronze, Carbon, and Rice Paper, Chanel liquid eyeliner on top in Noir, Tarte Inner Rim liner, Lancome Definicils mascara in waterproof black, Anastasia Dipbrow Pomade in Blonde using Anastasia angled brow brush.
Lips: Urban Decay lip liner in Naked 2, Lancome lipstick in Coral in Love, Yves Saint Laurent gloss in Rose Orfevre
To achieve this look for hair I recommend a 1.5 inch curling iron, I love my Sultra Bombshell.
Congratulations Makenna and Aaron!

My Family Photos
My husband and I had some “family photos” taken this year since we reeeeally struggle getting a decent photo together (one of us will inevitably be in the middle of talking or blinking, pretty much every time.) So we went on an adventure to some sand dunes!

Sometimes I can’t decide how I want my hair in photos. So I style it and then take it out in the middle of the shoot so I can wear it down too.

We have oh so much fun together….

We really did have so much fun, thanks to Angie! Simplicity Photography
